Hi, I’m Olive!
There are many aspects of myself that shape how I show up in the work, specifically as a massage therapist. I am called to this work by way of my own commitment to healing my relationship to my voice, power, intuition, and body.
My work is trauma-informed and gender affirming which can look like having thorough communication with each client to ensure a sense of safety and feeling seen/heard before, during and after a session.
Alongside being a massage therapist, I have also worked as a full-spectrum birth doula and currently work with oncology patients as a medical massage therapist at a Cancer Center.
I feel drawn to liminal spaces, transitional times where there is so much potential and unknown. In these times, I find massage and bodywork to be very helpful to staying embodied.
My sessions integrate a variety of modalities including Swedish Massage, Tui Na, Reflexology, Craniosacral Therapy, and Thai Massage.
I incorporate my passions for all of the senses, seasons, earth elements, somatic work, and nerd-love for the human body (physical, emotional, spiritual, and mental) to help people strengthen the ability to ground within themselves. As a result, many people are able to experience sustained relief and relaxation.
I believe that people are their own experts and know their body best. Sometimes it may be hard to identify what we need for support, but with practice and people we feel safe with this becomes easier to identify.
Everything about my work stems from nature, science, and credited traditions that never fit inside binaries, boxes, or linear timelines.
I humbly give credit and thanks to the following supportive family & teachers: Professor Tamara Lea Spira, Master Integrative Coach Jeff Malone, Master Herbalist Karen Rose, Doula and Founder of Ancient Song Doula Services Chanel L. Porcia, Student Midwife & Doula Haize Hawke Rosen, Dori Midnight, and David Lang.
